There are many Muslims in the world with Muslim names. However there are very few amongst them with Muslim minds. The education system designed by the disbelievers as well as the various forms of media which are controlled by them are all structured to mould and shape our minds and  to control our way of thinking. It is imperative that we break out of this slavery of mankind and enter into the service of one Allah Ta’ala. Listen to the talks of our pious Ulama and read their books. Choose the company of pious women. Hearts will move hearts.

This is a true story of a Niqabi sister in France.

After picking groceries in the supermarket, the Niqabi sister stood in the line to pay. After few minutes, her turn came up at the checkout counter. The checkout girl who was a non Hijabi Arab Muslim girl started to scan the items of the Niqabi sister one by one and then she looked at her with arrogance and said, "We have in France many problems, your Niqab is one of them!! We, immigrants, are here for trade and not to show our Deen or history! If you want to practice your Deen and wear Niqab then go back to your Arab country and do whatever you want!!”

The Niqabi sister stopped putting her grocery in the bag and took off her Niqab… The checkout girl was in total shock! The Niqabi girl who was blond with blue eyes told her, “I am a French girl, not an Arab immigrant! This is my country and THIS IS MY ISLAM!! You born Muslims sold your Deen and we bought it from you. And Allah says:  'If you turn away, Allah will replace you by another people, and they will not be like you.' (47:38)"

The Maid of Firaun's Daughter

Firaun’s daughter had a maid who was under her command. The maid had brought Imaan on Moosa (alaihis salaam). However, she did not expose her Imaan out of fear for Firaun. Once while she was combing the hair of Firaun’s daughter, the comb fell from her hand. When she bent down to pick it up she recited Bismillah. The daughter asked her, “What was it that you recited just now? Whose name is that?” She replied: “It is the name of the one who created your father and also gave him a kingdom.” Firoun’s daughter was astonished and remarked, “Is there anyone greater than my father?” saying this she ran to her father and related the entire incident to him. Firaun became angry, called for the maid and threatened her. She said, “Do whatever you wish. I will not leave my Imaan.” Nails were driven into her hands and feet and red hot ash was placed on her. Her child was even thrown into a fire. However she remained steadfast on her Imaan until she was also thrown into the fire.

Lesson: We also need to be firm on our Imaan despite all tests and conditions. We should not allow any shortcomings and defect in our Imaan and deen on account of desires, motives, and difficulties. We should never do anything contrary to the commands of Allah Ta’ala and His Rasul (sallallahu alaihi wasallam).

Hazrat Maulana Yunus Patel Saheb

(rahmatullahi alaih)

Throughout the Quraan Majeed, besides the name of Maryam (alaihas salaam) there is no name mentioned of any other woman, and yet there are so many verses relating to women; in fact an entire Surah has been named ‘An-Nisaa’ (The Women). When the Beloved wife of Rasulullah (sallallaahu alayihi wa sallam), Aaisha (radiyallahu anha) was slandered, Allah Ta’ala revealed 10 verses in Surah Noor (Verses 11 – 20), proving her innocence. However, her name is not mentioned.  Allah Ta’ala mentions the wife of Nuh (alaihis salaam) and the wife of Lut (alaihis salaam) as Disbelievers.  “Allah sets for an example to the Unbelievers, the wife of Nuh and the wife of Lut, They were (respectively) under two of Our righteous servants but they betrayed their husbands (i.e. in regard to matters of Truth) and they profited nothing before Allah on their account, but were told: ‘Enter the Fire along with (others) that enter!’” [Surah Tahreem 66: 10] The mother of Maryam (alaihas salaam) is mentioned as ‘Imraan’s wife’. The vow she took, when she had conceived, has been mentioned in the Quraan Majeed as follows:  “When Imraan’s wife said: ‘O my Lord, I have vowed what is in my stomach to be exclusively for you. So accept (it) from me. You are certainly the All Hearing, the All Knowing.’”[Surah Aal-Imraan 3: 35] Aasiya (radiyallahu anha) is mentioned as ‘the wife of Fir’aun’.  “And Allah sets forth as an example to those who believe the wife of Fir’aun: When she said: ‘O my Lord! Build for me, in nearness to You, a house in Paradise, and save me from Fir’aun and his doings and save me from those who do wrong.’” [Surah Tahreem 66: 11]  Allah Ta’ala mentions only Maryam (alaihas salaam) by name.  “And Maryam, the daughter of Imraan, who guarded her chastity…” [Surah Tahreem 66: 12]
