Introduction

Islam is a perfect deen. Q: Is it necessary for the husband to make qurbaani on behalf of his wife?

A: It is not necessary for the husband to make qurbaani on behalf of his wife. However, the husband can make qurbaani on her behalf if he first obtains her permission.

Q: What should be done with the qurbaani meat?

A: The qurbaani meat can be consumed by oneself, family, friends, etc. Qurbaani meat can also be given to non-Muslims. It is preferable to give one third of the meat in charity.
