Remember that now a child is being nourished within your own body. Every moment should be passed with caution and concern over the wellbeing of yourself and as well as your child.

• Eat fresh green vegetables in abundance

• Avoid over eating and abstain from food that causes constipation

• Drink lots of milk

• Abstain from tea, coffee, hot (spicy) and oily foods

• In the first three months and from the seventh month onward, avoid conjugal relations with your husband

• Try to get at least 8 hours of peaceful sleep

• Avoid hard work and picking up very heavy objects

• Remain happy and cheerful at all times
