There are many challenges and obstacles which we face in our effort to reach Allah Ta‘ala and become His special friends. From challenges in donning the hijaab and shedding indecent dressing to dealing with friends and family members who are upset with us for not attending an impermissible function, the trials are various and assume different forms.
One of the most effective ways of gaining courage and motivation is to read the stories of other people who despite being in a similar predicament to ourselves or facing even more severe difficulties, rose to the challenge and fought against all odds to emerge as people who successfully acquired the love of Allah Ta‘ala and changed their lives.
Do you have a personal story to share? Or do you perhaps know of someone whose life underwent a complete revolution as they strove in the quest for piety? If so, then Uswatul Muslimah is hosting an activity named ‘Modern to Modest’ in which you are encouraged to write and submit a true story – be it a personal account or the story of another person – of someone who was inspired to change their life and become a better Muslimah.
Insha-Allah, over the next few weeks, we will post the most inspirational stories received onto the website so that all may be inspired. We urge submitters to conceal the identity of the people whose stories they submit. Furthermore, the identity of the submitters will not be published on the website.
