When Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) returned from Syria, and Sayyidah Khadeejah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) saw the angels who were giving him shade. Maysarah told her what Nastoora had said, and her cousin, Waraqah bin Nawfal, also told her that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) was the final Nabi of Allah Ta‘ala. Apart from this, there had been many signs, in the past, showing that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) was the final Nabi of Allah Ta‘ala.

Sayyidah Khadeejah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) was a pious and pure woman. At that time, she did not have a husband, because her husband had passed away. Many men in the Quraish wanted to marry her, but she did not accept and stayed without a husband. However, when she saw all these different signs, showing that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) was the final Nabi of Allah Ta‘ala, then she hoped to marry him and become his wife.

Sayyidah Khadeejah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) sent a message to Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), proposing marriage, and Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) accepted. At that time, Sayyidah Khadeejah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) was forty years old, and Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) was twenty-five years old.

When the day of the nikaah arrived, Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) went to the home of Sayyidah Khadeejah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) with his uncle, Abu Taalib, and other family members like Sayyiduna Hamzah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu). The father of Sayyidah Khadeejah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) had passed away, so her uncle was there with her. Abu Taalib read the khutbah of the nikaah, and Waraqah bin Nawfal gave a small bayaan after the nikaah.

In this way, Sayyidah Khadeejah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) was blessed and honored to become the wife of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam).

All the blessed daughters of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) were born from Sayyidah Khadeejah (radhiyallahu ‘anha). The names of the blessed daughters of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) are:

[1] Sayyidah Zainab (radhiyallahu ‘anha) [2] Sayyidah Ruqayyah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) [3] Sayyidah Ummu Kulthoom (radhiyallahu ‘anha) and (4) Sayyidah Faatimah (radhiyallahu ‘anha)
