He was the cousin of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) and was also one of the ‘Asharah Mubash-sharah (the ten Sahaabah [radhiyallahu ‘anhum] given the glad tidings of Jannah in one gathering by Rasulullah [sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam]).
