The Best Thing to Ask For
Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) narrates that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) would never leave out the following du‘aa in the morning and in the evening:
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ فِيْ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ، اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِيْ دِيْنِيْ وَدُنْيَايَ وَأَهْلِيْ وَمَالِيْ ، اَللّٰهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِيْ وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِيْ ، اَللّٰهُمَّ احْفَظْنِيْ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ وَمِنْ خَلْفِيْ وَعَن يَّـمِيْنِيْ وَعَنْ شِـمَالِيْ وَمِنْ فَوْقِيْ ، وَأَعُوْذُ بِعَظَمَتِكَ أَنْ أُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَـحْتِيْ

Admiring the Most Admirable
Once Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) was busy spinning yarn whilst Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) was mending his shoe. Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) took a moment to gaze at Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) and noticed that there were beads of perspiration on his blessed forehead. To her utter amazement, light began emanating from those beads of perspiration. Just then, Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) turned towards Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) and, noticing her amazement, asked, “O ‘Aaishah! Why are you looking so astounded?”
