(Ambiyaa [‘alaihimus salaam] Series – Nabi Hood [‘alaihis salaam] #03)
When the people of ‘Aad did not listen to Nabi Hood (‘alaihis salaam) and they did not obey and waorship Allah Ta‘ala, Allah Ta‘ala decided to punish them.
For a very long time there was no rain in the area, and the people were waiting for rain. Their animals and farms needed water. Allah Ta‘ala sent clouds of punishment towards them. When they saw these clouds coming, they thought that these were rain clouds. So, they became very happy and thought that the drought will end, and their animals and farms will have water. However, this was the punishment of Allah Ta‘ala.
Allah Ta‘ala sent very strong winds on them. The winds were very loud and scary. They blew for seven nights and eight days continuously until all the disbelievers were destroyed. None of them were saved. The wind was so strong that it picked them up like palm trees being pulled out from the ground. They were lifted up very high in the air and thrown down. All the disbelievers were destroyed and only their houses remained.
Before the punishment came, Nabi Hood (‘alaihis salaam) took the believers and left. In this way, Allah Ta‘ala saved them from the punishment.
